1. Introduction
Gazellia Ventures LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Context Migrator, a mobile application and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.
By using Context Migrator, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address — used for authentication and account recovery
- User ID — a unique identifier generated by our authentication provider
2.2 ChatGPT Conversation Data
When you use our migration feature, you sign in to your own ChatGPT account through an in-app browser window pointed at chatgpt.com. After you complete login, the app captures a session token from your authenticated browser context and uses it to fetch the conversations you select. We use that data only to:
- Extract facts, preferences, and patterns from the conversations you select
- Generate a personalized context profile for use with Claude
Not affiliated with OpenAI. Context Migrator is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI or ChatGPT. ChatGPT and OpenAI are trademarks of their respective owners. We do not operate any part of ChatGPT, and OpenAI may change their service in ways that affect or disable the migration feature at any time. By using the migration feature, you confirm you are the authorized owner of the ChatGPT account being accessed.
What we receive. We never receive or store your ChatGPT username or password — you enter those directly into ChatGPT's login page inside the in-app browser. We receive only the session token your browser obtains after you log in, and we use it solely to fetch the conversations you choose to migrate. Raw ChatGPT conversation data is not retained on our servers after migration is complete; only the extracted context profile and your subsequent chat messages with Claude are stored.
2.3 Chat Messages
Messages you send and receive through the Service are stored to maintain your conversation history. These include text messages, voice transcriptions, and image descriptions.
2.4 Subscription and Purchase Information
We record which in-app subscriptions or purchases you make (product type, purchase timestamp, and current expiration date) for entitlement and quota-tracking purposes. All payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store — we never receive or store your payment card details. Subscriptions are auto-renewable through your Apple ID; renewal status and cancellation are managed in your device's Subscriptions settings, not by us.
2.5 API Keys
Your Anthropic API key, if provided, is stored exclusively on your device using encrypted local storage (iOS Keychain via SecureStore). We never transmit, log, store, or have access to your API key on our servers. When your device sends a request using your API key, it is passed via encrypted HTTPS and used only for that single request — it is not retained in server memory, logs, or databases.
2.6 Automatically Collected Information
We may collect standard technical information including:
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Crash logs and performance data
- General usage patterns (features used, session duration)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process your ChatGPT conversation migrations
- Maintain your chat history and context profiles
- Track your credit and message balances
- Send transactional communications (purchase confirmations, account notices)
- Diagnose technical issues and prevent abuse
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Context Migrator:
- Supabase — Authentication and database hosting (PostgreSQL). Data is stored in AWS US-East-1. Supabase Privacy Policy
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI processing for migrations and chat. Your messages are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic Privacy Policy
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Server hosting, voice transcription (AWS Transcribe), and text-to-speech (AWS Polly). AWS Privacy Policy
- Apple — In-app purchase processing and app distribution. Apple Privacy Policy
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Storage and Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS
- Database access is restricted and authenticated
- API keys are stored in device-level encrypted storage, never on servers
- Server-side error messages are sanitized to prevent credential leakage
- Server infrastructure runs on AWS with standard security configurations
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
- Account data — retained as long as your account is active
- Chat sessions and context profiles — retained as long as your account is active, unless you delete them
- Purchase records — retained for accounting and support purposes
- Raw ChatGPT data — not retained after migration processing is complete
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
7.1 All Users
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Deletion — you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly inside the app, by going to Settings → Delete Account. This will remove your account record, chat sessions, context profiles, usage history, and purchase records from our systems. You can also email privacy@gazellia.com to request deletion. Note: deleting your Context Migrator account does not cancel your Apple subscription — you must cancel that separately in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
7.2 European Economic Area (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA, you have additional rights including:
- Right to data portability
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to object to processing
- Right to withdraw consent
Our legal basis for processing your data is: (a) performance of a contract (providing the Service), (b) legitimate interest (improving the Service, preventing abuse), and (c) consent (where applicable).
7.3 California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected and how it is used
- Request deletion of personal information
- Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
- Non-discrimination for exercising these rights
8. Children's Privacy
Context Migrator is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, please contact us.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers are located. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the app or on our website with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
